Description
Salem harbor sunset as seen from Marblehead neck. All year long the sun will set over Salem providing a grand display of multi hued colors. During the summer the sun will silhoutte the many sailboats and motor boats rocking gently on the harbor waters. Across the harbor is Salem Massachusetts with it trading history and if you could look further to the right you would see Fort Pickering lighthouse on Winter island. I used to watch Coast guard aircraft take off from Winter Island in the 1970s while it was a Coast Guard Base conduting search and rescue.

It was a great moment to be in. the thing is we seldom fully appreciate what we have until its gone. Taken years ago when my aunt and uncle had this place on the water... I should have spent more time there.
